HG Cherudim GNHW/R WIP 01

Posted: September 14, 2010 in WIP

Time to start gunpla-ing! Like I said, I would start on the Cherudim….

Let’s start on the head!

Parts for the head, as usual, cutting off excess plastic from the V fin and the yellow thingy. While I was filing the yellow thing, the thing snapped! Too much force I reckon….. BUT! Tamiya cement to the rescue!!

Oh my…. Look at the shield bits…. Nubs nightmare….

These thrusters are to be sprayed Silver.

I did mention that I wanted to try something out with the Cherudim right? Here’s what I wanted to try, using putty to fill those “holes”.

After putty… The damn putty is really sticky!

Prepped for spraying, but later decided to just paint then with tamiya chrome silver…

Horrible nubs…

Filled the “holes” with Gundam metallic green marker… Doesn’t look good…. Maybe I will sand it down and redo….

That’s all I managed to build today…. Tired…

After sanding and painting…. Needs more redoing….

v fins are tiny! im afraid to sharpen the ones on my rx78. maybe black or grey over the nubs after sanding, metallic green is too bright and eye catching lol

cool, the parts look like it could use more sanding but i wanna try filling in parts and stuff someday too. what kind of putty are you using? i didnt think it would be so sticky.

Epoxy Putty 😑 sucks big time with that one…………..

What kind of putty do you use? there ae slow curing putty which makes it less sticky. Its Tamiya Epoxy Putty (but not the one with a green package)

haha now with putty ^^ putty stickiness may be annoying, but you’ll be used to it over time.just play with it more and more.and usually, i’ll get the epxy covered with tamiya basic putty, that’ll help to get a smoother finish

I normally go Self-Fix DIY shop and get some putty~ πŸ˜€
